TRIP TO TALLIN

Trip to Tallin was most exciting. It started from mikeli bus station.we were all together ten people including two Russian guys from information technology. It was the my first experience to tallin and in the ship as well. We went to Tallin by the the ship of Finland Viking line . It was a big ship including a super market, bar, pob, restaurant and other different various things. It was a really big and good ship. We have had really nice time in ship.

We have an apartment in the ship which was good and includes all the facilities inside like television phone etc. specially I found that many fins people goes to Tallin to buys wines because Estonia is really cheaper than Finland.

Estonia is a beautiful city. Especially the old city of Estonia is very beautiful lots of houses built in in the previous centuries. it gives the feeling like of real Europe and they are famous in the world too.

This area was once a separate town (Dom zu Reval), the residence of the Chivalry of Estonia, Cathilicbishop of Tallinn (until 1561) , occupying an easily defensible site overlooking the surrounding districts. The major attractions are the walls and various bastions of Castrum Danarum, the Russian Arthodox Alexander Nevsky cathedral (built during the period of Russian empire, the church was built on a site that formerly housed a statue of Martin Luther) and the Lutheran Cathedral (Toomkirik) and the old Estonian Royal Palace now the Parliament building.

We visited the old town of Estonia for about 3 hours it is not a big city we can visit whole the city in one day. During our visit the climate of the Estonia was snowing temperature was also like minus five.

MY FIRST VISIT TO FINLAND

September 07-2007- my first step in Finland was making me free and I can feel free and completely new smell of air from my country. My first season of autumn . My first experience with Nordic Autumn. I had never experienced such long hours of brightness ever before. Initially it was pretty exciting for me .I can see the sun up to 8 pm which makes me more amazed about this place.

Helsinki is AMAZING! Such a typical European city.
Brilliant architecture, pretty street , cobble stone streets and pigeons,. It feels so strange and wonderful to finally be living in finland for study.Although it was cold , there were still so many people out and about. I walked around and I took pictures and I went to a pleasant coffee shop to warm up (Helsinki is full of really great coffee shops). I have a few very bad pics of the city..they were taken that first night and it was so cold that it was difficult to get even one good shot. Some day if I remember,

I will take some more good pictures.

From the airport of Vantaa I took a bus and went to Helsinki city centre it was not so busy city as in my country but it is properly managed and I took a train from city centre to Mikkeli and I found there was a 50percent discount in travelling discount for student .i think it is good aspect of Finland for student and my travelling continue to Mikkeli…………
